 Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is a comprehensive community college located in Reno, NV and is part of the Nevada System of Higher Education. The College serves over 25,000 each year in credit and non-credit programs at four educational sites and more than 20 community locations.

Students can begin their higher education at TMCC and then transfer to a 4-year institution, prepare to enter the workforce directly, upgrade their job skills, or even take classes for personal enrichment.

TMCC's Passport Block aligns to its General Education (GE) for bachelor's and associate-level transfer degrees but has additional requirements in Oral Communication, Teamwork & Value Systems, and Natural Sciences, where studens must take a Life Sciences and a Physical Sciences course. Thus, students wishing to pursue the Interstate Passport should work with an Academic Advisor to make sure they are fulfilling both GE and Passport requirements.

Program Highlights


TMCC offers over 150 degrees and certificates to prepare students to continue their education at a 4 year institution, enter the workforce, or upgrade job skills.

  • 5 select bachelor's degrees in Cyber-Physical Maufacturing, Dental Hygiene, Emergency Management & Homeland Security, Logistics Operations Management,Career & Technical Education, and RN-BSN. TMCC will introduce a Bachelor of Architecture degree in Fall 2022.
  • AA and AS Transfer degrees in a variety of disciplines
  • AAS degrees in career and technical education and allied health fields
  • Certificates of Achievement (>30 credits)
