North Dakota State College of Science Passport Block

The North Dakota State College of Science developed its Interstate Passport Block within the parameters of its own General Education requirements and the North Dakota University System's General Education Requirements Transfer Agreement. The NDUS GERTA provides for the transfer of approved general education courses within and among the North Dakota University System institutions. The North Dakota State College of Science requires the following for completion of general education: Communication-nine credits, History and Humanities-six credits, Social and Behavioral Sciences-eight credits, Math, Science, and Computer-thirteen credits, (must include one lab science, one math,and one computer science course), and Wellness- two credits. 

NDSCS's Passport Block was developed by the General Education Assessment Committee, which selected applicable courses in each of the nine required content areas. The General Education Assessment Committee is the campus organization responsible for approving new courses for the NDUS GERTA, and is also responsible for verifying existing courses for general education outcomes. 

Students may apply a specific course to only one Passport Knowledge/Skill Area. 

Students must successfully complete COMM 110 -Fundamentals of Public Speaking to achieve the Oral Communication Passport Learning Outcomes.
